A lil’ about me…

My journey to becoming a UX designer has been non-traditional, but one thing has remained constant: my dedication to the user. From a young age, I’ve been deeply invested in creating positive experiences for people. At 13, I began working at my dad’s hair salon as a receptionist, where I developed strong communication skills and a deep empathy for customers. This customer-first mentality has stayed with me throughout my career in the retail space, earning me numerous five-star reviews and allowing me to foster strong relationships with both clients and supervisors.

Though my professional background is rooted in hands-on customer service, I’ve always been a creative person. Growing up, I had the unique privilege of learning from my mom, a graphic designer with over 25 years of experience. I was her sounding board, constantly observing her work and offering feedback. This early exposure to design gave me a keen eye for visual aesthetics and the ability to critically analyze design elements.

As I transitioned into the world of UX, I realized that my passion for understanding user needs and my creative skills perfectly aligned with the iterative process of design. I thrive in environments where feedback is valued and where I can continually refine and improve user experiences. My approach to UX design is driven by a deep understanding of the importance of user research, wireframing, and prototyping to craft intuitive, user-centered solutions.

Now, I’m applying my customer-centric mindset and creative background to a career in UX design, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to innovative, user-focused projects to larger audiences.
